The Tunguska Impact occured in Siberia. A meteor entered the Earth's atmosphere and exploded above ground and caused devastation.

A failed robbery on a jewellers in the East End of London, by four (Latvian) anarchists was the prelude to the Sidney Street Siege. Three policemen were shot and three robbers were captured. Other members of the anarchist gang escaped and went into hiding.

In Britain, the Sidney Street Siege took place in London. The Latvian anarchist gang responsible for a failed robbery on a jewellers in the East End of London on December 16th 1910, were found and cornered. British Home Secretary, Winston Churchill, sent in the troops.

Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa launched an attack against government troops in Ciudad Juarez without the permission of Francisco Madero. Government troops surrendered on May 10th.

The unsinkable RMS Titanic sank on its maiden voyage from Southampton in England to New York in the USA. The ship collided with an iceberg off the Grand Banks of Newfoundland with the lost of 1,517 lives.

Wilbur Wright died. One of the brothers who was first to succeed in powered flight in the Kitty Hawk, North Carolina in 1903. Wilbur's flight lasted 59 seconds, and managed 852ft.
